Vantage Performance Materials, the parent company of Vantage , recently had the chance to exhibit at the 2015 Institute of Food Technologists trade show in Chicago. Judging from the amount of traffic on the expo floor where Vantage and over 1,000 other companies where exhibiting, the 75th conference was a great success.
This year’s conference, which was held at McCormick Place in Chicago, was completely sold out, with over 23,000 people attending. Among the attendees were decision makers from food-related companies across the country who were looking for innovations to add to their products.
In addition to the exhibitor’s floor, where Vantage was exhibiting, attendees were able to participate in a variety of activities, many of which were connected to the food technology industry, as well as a few volunteer projects. The weekend opened with a Welcome Reception at the Field Museum, one of the iconic parts of Chicago. After the reception, various events took place throughout the show, including activities for families, tours of the conference and a 5K Fun Run/Walk.
New to the 2015 show was the IFT Transformation Lab: Protein and the Body. This experiential exhibit showcases the way protein impacts the body, and provided an interactive experience that appealed to visitors of all ages. Attendees also had the chance to participate in the Be Well, Stay Well Pedometer Challenge hosted by Wellmune. The Be Well, Stay Well game allows event attendees to track their steps and earn prizes by becoming more active.
Activates like these made the show a fun time for all who attended, but the main focus was, of course, food science and technology. Exhibitors, like Vantage, showcased their latest innovations, so the companies that use them were able to learn what was available. The show provided exceptional networking opportunities for professionals in every food science discipline.
